Asides from the obvious “get enough sleep” there are other ways to help you look refreshed and awake in the morning. Below are a few tips on how to start your day.

STRETCHES – Who doesn’t love a good old stretch? Research shows that when you first wake up, if you take the time to stretch your whole body, it prepares you for the rest of the day. Apart from an improved mood, it helps any tension and aches from the night before and gets your blood moving. Below is a link to a video you could check out.

WATER – Water widely known has lots of benefits to the body. You are adviced to drink alot of water the night before and drink a glass of water as soon as you wake. A cold glass of lemon water when you wake up could be a good start. Also, try to avoid salty foods before bed because they usually cause puffiness the next morning.

DE-PUFF – Have you heard of the ice roller? It’s one of the best ways to reduce puffiness. You could also use the jade roller and gua sha tool to de-puff your face. This gets the lymphatic system in order, helping to drain the puffiness.

NIGHT EYE CREAM – Watch out for Eye Creams which states de-puffing or cooling on their description. They usually work great.

EXERCISE – If your blood isn’t really flowing it is difficult for some waste products to be secreted. So endeavour to get your blood flowing. You could hit the gym if you can or simply do some home workouts.
